SPSS Data Set – Jeans (Chapter 10)

If you need an additional data set for Chapter 10 for a student assignment, group task, or testing, here is a SPSS data set. The exercise involves obtaining descriptive data and graphing the results.  It was created by a college student and examines the purchase of jeans. The survey is also provided.

Suggested Activities:

  1. Obtain frequency counts for Questions 1 to 4. Create appropriate graphs for each question.
  2. For Questions 5 and 6, run a frequency count. Then create a new variable for each with 5 categories. Create appropriate graphs.
  3. Obtain frequency counts for Questions 7 and 8. Create appropriate graphs for each question.
  4. Obtain means for Questions 9 and 10. Create one graph for Question 9 and one graph for Question 10.
